The highest peak of southern Taiwan, Pingtung Dawu Mountain sits on the bottom. Hundreds of lines radiating from the mountain with one dollar coin representing the sun. This light of dawn is a hope, a beautiful vision, and the true blessing to Pingtung.
On the upper right corner of the red lucky bag, there is a cutout design representing traces of rat bite. Instead of directly placing a rat pattern, the idea is to make the rat invisible and only see the traces left by the rat. Opening the red envelope, the tooth indents turn into the shape of clouds, echoing with other cloud patterns tooled in gold. It symbolizes seeing the dawn, which is pronounced similar to “rat” in Mandarin, after opening the cover of clouds.
